I just got a replacement V3xx from AT&T since the failure of my first phone. I believe I now have a V3xxR and the mp3 files I have on my SD card from my old phone will not work on my new phone. None of them are listed when I try to change my ring tone. Apparently something has changed with the new firmware? Is there anything I can do to get this working again?
Thanks!

first, check your s/w version under: settings/phone status/ other info. if the s/w starts with R27231, then it is a v3xxr. then read through this thread on how to allow mp3 for use as ringtones.

Yeah thats the software I have. So basically you're saying the bastards have taken away our ability to use MP3 ringtones and I have to hack the phone now.

pretty much, yeh. Its no big deal if you have the right programs. all you need for this is p2kCommander 4.9 to copy seem 004e_0001, and xvi32 hex editor to change the values of the four offsets. Make sure you have a good backup of your phone first tho.... f&b3.7 works best:)
I did this mod right away on my phone, works great!!
