I had a GSM... V3i (t really (r4334u5)... the CDMA service provider here is unlimited minutes... so... I thought I could go talk to'em about getting on their service (KNOWING it won't happen with a v3i!) but anyways he and I talked versely about phones, he told me that if I could unlock the phone, then he could hook it up to CRICKET. Hmmm....:confused:
Like an idiot, I unlocked the V3i, and brought it to him... very curious. He tried to activate the phone and GUESS WHAT? Dumbass didn't have the first clue as to what the hell he was talking about...
I could use any sim in the v3i, after I unlocked it. That's the point. But he told me that the phone was still locked. After I almost jumped the desk, he threatened me... threatened to call the cops and all. Well... I got an appology from him today. I told the two brother's (Asian boys that just cell phones with a mild interest in modding them) that GSM is totally different Technology than CDMA.
He believes me NOW.
Anyways.... I bought the KRZR K1m(m) from CRICKET. They also call it L7c. But why I wonder? In anycase I just got the HORRIBLE driver issues panned out and began reading my NAM.
This is my discussion topic finally - Can't you just borrow somone's phone, then program yours to operate on their number granted they activate that number with your IMEI?

I'm not bragging at all - but I've only been posting for like 2 weeks and I've almost got both types of technology understood to a certain degree. I thank this site for motivating me to learn. I have learned alot. I cannot thank MMM enough. I got a job referal (another one) today at a cingulair coporate store, they want me to consider a tech job.... I wonder how much money is in that?
By the way SuperJoker - Im sorry I didn't resolve the CG1 issues that people were having with T-MO's Black V3T as you can read here I sold it unlocked for $100 towards the purchase of my new phone. I can tell you though, even though one get's the SHX HEX changes that Random's SHX doesn't do at the moment, and even though EVERY checksum verifies in RSD Lite... the phone will always still show PH SIG ERR 35:02: if you try to modify the CG1. I am blaming this on the loader until I understand more. If someone is willing to send me a demo phone, I'll continue researching. Until then I appologize as CDMA is WAY much more to learn and I like that kinda stuff.... SO..... probably no more contributions to the GSM world for awhile. Since I couldn't figure out the problem, it resulted in no splash screen mod, or DRM home screen mod and my MP that I was going to release was ruined. Im either going all the way, or no way at all.
I guess I've been sitting here typing long enough... Noone is active right now so I guess no PMs - so Im tellin ya here if you happen to read it.
Once Again THANK ALL the people here at MMM.... EVEN THE NOOBS. We all start somewhere right? Maybe the beer is making me type like this.. don't really know... but what the hell I'll see ya all soon with goodies...
