i deleted a mma ucp system file now my screen stays white. i turned off my phone and turned it back on now its stuck on the hello moto screen i need help please!!!!

yeah you really shouldn't have done that... do you have a backup? first thing you should try is to connect to a p2k program and reupload a mma_ucp.
if you don't have one, download the mma_dcp to your computer, rename it to mma_ucp, and upload it.
this will work because the dcp is just a backup of your ucp.
what you deleted was the menu file for your phone, the file that makes everything tick [for the most part anyway]

if that doenst work you will have to mp your phone, thats always a last resort though, i messed up my mma_ucp a few times, its never fun to mp

after reflashing it works BUT i dont have a battery icon and my on/off button no longer works i tried a keypad unlock flex but it did nothing any other suggestions guys? if anyone can help im sure you guys can. btw where could i find a mma ucp file to upload? i have no problem reflashing my phone if i have to i just want it working again so i can mod again:)

well as i said [i think this works anyway] if you don't have one, download the mma_dcp to your computer, rename it to mma_ucp, and upload it. The mma_ucp is one of the most important files to have backed up once or twice on your computer

ok i have a mma ucp and a mma dcp in my system folder i downloaded the dcp and renamed it mma_ucp deleted the old ucp and replaced it with the downloaded one i renamed. restarted the phone and nothing no power button or battery icon. any more suggestions? i really would appreciate it. i just noticed that when i flashed my phone with a mp that has the 12 icon page mine only shows 9 and there are blank spaces where the other 3 would usually be and when i move to the blank space it kicks me back to my main screen i hope this helps. :(

hmm... I'm not really the best with menu problems because i tend to stay away from modding the menu [i'm afraid of bricking again lol]
but if you MP'ed your phone and it still doesn't work, then that leaves 2 possible problems, the PDS or the hardware , and we can definately count out the hardware as a possibility.
did you back up your phone at all? also, what does RSD lite recognize your phone as?
Just a little n00b question, but i always thought if you delete the mma_ucp, the phone would make a new one from the mma_dcp after reboot.... Right???

i did too, but apparently that didn't happen with this one... either that or it did and the PDS just got corrupted

what is this PDS? and would it be possible for anyone out there to email me their files from their v3 and i simply upload them to mine? i know there has to be a way to fix this. RSD LITE recognizes my phone as a motorola if thats what u mean. i can flash and flex with no prob i just cant get my battery icon to appear and my power button no longer works and i lose 12 icon support. i hope this helps anyone out there who can help me.
ok... well i don't really know much about this stuff anyway, it's how i bricked my V3 the last time... just thought i ask.:smile:

a PDS is specific to your phone and your phone only, so it wouldnt work to send you that. And if you MP'ed your phone and that didn't change it, nothing else can, unless you have a backup from your phone.
