Can I flash my v3re to v3r to unlock it ? Then I would flash back the normal v3re firmware unlocked.
Would these work?
Also is there any other free way to unlock the v3re

An older thread discusses the possibility of converting a v3re to a v3r or even the original v3. http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68573
Basically, it says it won't work due to memory map differences and other S/W issues. I mean, you can still try it if you're desperate, but based on what's been written, I wouldn't recommend it.
As for unlocking, there seems to be few options. Either you can call the provider and ask them for the code, or pay some money online.
I've heard that some people have had success with the testpoint method, but I'm wondering how accurate those rumors are. More people have said that either it didn't have any effect or it killed their phone. So if you try it, just know that it's risky.
Whatever you do, I hope it works!

Won't work, different phone altogether. tTake them apart and see, they are not even closely the same. Different platform, hardware, drive system , chipset, p2k version, Bootloader, and so on.

ok thanks for all the replies. I tried the tp using the v3r, v3, and u6 option in p2k easy tools. It detected the phone but stopped at sending bootloader. I also tried the flashing to v3r but it just failed at the beginning.
