I've done some basic modding with a V3 RAZR but I've never done it with a V3re. It was relatively quick and painless for the V3 but the V3re will not work with any program. I've tried P2KTools (recognizes it, but nothing shows up in P2k mode and OBEX crashes the phone). I've tried running RSDLite in the backround. And I've tried MExplorer. It has the same effect as P2KTools. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you installed Handset_USB_Driver_32_v3.3.0?

I'm having the same problem. Mine shows its connected but it does not show the kind of phone in the bottom right corner of P2KTools. I have a stock pack for T-Mobile on a V3re phone. I wanna run the seem editor but I don't know how to do it b/c I cannot get it to connect. I wanna change a few things like saving texts to the phone and not the SIM. Is there someone who can help me figure this out please? Thanks in advance

Have you found and installed the above driver?
If so then try:
1st-download and install RSDLite_4.1
2nd-Run and minimize RSDLite.
3rd-(with that running in the background) open p2ktools. What happens now?
If connected and showing V3re your good to go, need anymore help?
If not let me know.
I work with at&t-V3re in windows xp.(provider not really an issue here though still connect the same)

OK, I got it to work, Now when I used the P2K Tools to edit the seems (Which I got the seem set for the text messages) and I restarted the phone using P2K, it comes up and tells me that it cannot install this hardware for the usb modem? What did I do wrong?

Not sure but we need to get you back to where you were before.
1st- Try to uninstall driver then reinstall.
2nd -Repeat the steps you did in the first place to get connected.
3rd- Then (i dont know why) just use p2ktools for downloading seem to desktop. Use a program called XVI32 to edit seems and save them. Then p2ktools to load seem back to phone. This is what everyone else that Ive seen does, including myself with no issues.
Let me know how it goes!

Here is a connection guide. Is this what you did? http://modmymoto.com/wiki/index.php/Razr_v3_get_connected

Vista or XP? 32bit or 64bit cpu? Do you have the fitting driver from Motodev?

Oh, ok. How about a driver conflict. Often happens when a version of Motorola Phone Tools is involved. Also changing the USB port will prompt XP to reinstall drivers. Then a Hub is a Killer for the Connection. So best is to use a direct Back Mobo USB Port, and never any shared extention Hubs with printer or Mouse or so installed.

I didn't have phone tools installed but I was using a USB hub..lol I got it fixed. I had to switch OS's and then I had no problem at all. Thanks for all the help. Anyway, does anyone know what the seem edit is to let you change the default settings in web settings?

Thanks for sharing the success.
And have a look if p2k vs or p2k Tools 3 work, they ghave a setting for websessions in which you don't need to seem edit. The programs are in the download section.
