What do your friends think of your Mods

Just wondering how impressed your friends are when you show off your mods. Do they get it or just look at you like your trying to explain how the jedi mind trick works...:duel: I personally get mixed results, one of my bosses has made me Mod his V3 and loves it. My wife on the other hand when I say " I just flashed a new DRM, changed my font and my new skin has been downloaded over 100 times" hears "nerd, nerd, geek, nerd" and tells me it's 1am and to get off the freakin computer...K

Yeah my wife thinks its cool but only cause I make a little cash on it. If I didn't, she'd sign the papers right away. ;) Nah but most people go, oh, yeah, thats cool. ... and walk away.

lol yeah basically get the whole wow thing from geeks but then once you tell others they are like "yeah...uh..thats nice" walk away hahaha

Yeah I get the same as all of the above and my wife, hates all my working on PC but at the same time knows how much I love to do it and therefore let me do it everyday till 5:30am... HEHEHE I guess Im VERY lucky!!! :D :cool:

wow heres an old thread... BUMP! anyway, my friends love the stuff i do to my phones... they are always bringing me their phones to mod... or their friends phones (some people tip me a few bucks every now and then,) its a lot of fun modding around here.

My wife calls me a nerd because I know so much about modding everything, and also fixing computers and stuff. But anytime her or her friends phone or their computers break or they need ringtones I'm the first one they call. All my friends know that it's just my hobby but they bring me their phones to mod also.

She doesn't complain about me being on the computer too much though because I only browse the forums at work. I don't go online much when I'm home. I save that time for my family.

Im lucky, my wife is a member here. My friends think its awesome and a few are members here as well. I get the most pleasure from walking into a cellular phone store and letting the employee try to convince me I need an upgrade. I hand him my phone and watch...... I love it.

Most of my family owns Moto =) thankfully, and any mods I do to my phones they want done to theirs lol, I'm not complaining gives me something to do, though my girlfriend hates the fact that I do it (LG owner)

Let see, GF doesn't have a phone so its all the same to her. Friends w verizon love the mods cuz they hate V's FW. Others are more impressed by the phones I have rather than mods I've done to em lol.

no one really cares untill they see the mods. i think the funlights, event lights gets everyone the most.

Some don't understand or know anything about them unless i gave them my phone to try and find a menu lol.

My friends know that I can't stand standard stuff ( PC, car, phone ) so they got used to me always doing things. Some like the stuff I do, some think it's a waste of time ...
My latest accomplishment was to remotely control my pc using the bluetooth on my phone. I told my friends I could just change the song on my PC by thinking at it - they were like how TF did you do that ? I had some fun with this :D

ive modded a friends v3, and another friend's l7.....

i don't usually advertise what i do with my phone, most people dont care....

one time though, after i blocked my sim card, i brought it to cingular to get another sim card..... i then went walking around the store looking at the phones..... i looked over at the service counter, and the technician was looking through my phone with another technician watching over his shoulder..... i kinda laughed.... then he locked it back to cingular.....

lol my friends like what i did to my E398...no good mods for the E6 yet though and i carry my E6 everywhere and you can't really say look how awsome my quadband unlock is.....

maybe just by getting a new cingular sim, it gets locked again, but i doubt it.... he had it for about 5 - 10 minutes..... and it doesnt take but a second or two to lock it. i even saw him hook it up to the usb cord..... i was gonna get pretty pissed if he put .25r on..... but he didnt, thank god....

i will definately do that next time im in there, just to mess with them. one of my mom's good friends is the assistant manager there, so it will be funny.... reminds me, i meant to ask her about a job.....

if my settlement goes through in the next week or so, i will be getting an iphone from them..... will i have to turn in my l7 if i bring it up there?, or should i say that i lost it, and thats why im getting iphone?

Tell them to ask us about you if they want you to work there for them and keep the L7 anyway.
