Hey all, I'm new to modding my razr v3, and I recently made some custom mp3's for a new ringtone. The mp3 plays fine on my computer, but when I load it to my phone, it plays faster. The sound quality drops a little, which is alright, but it still plays really fast. Did anyone else run into this problem? Thanks!

sounds weird, what specs are you making your mp3? and what are you using to edit them?

I'm using Audio Editor Gold, and encoding at 128kps to 256kps. Is there any reason why the mp3 should play differently on my phone than on my computer?

maybe the sounds player is corrupt in some way?

and you should lower the sound quality of the MP3's, cuz it won't sound very good on the V3 anyway. So usually with the V3 and MP3's, the lower the quality the better, because it saves space and doesn't really make a difference

I had that issue when converting from one file extension, like .wav, to MP3.

The the MP3 file was being corrupted some how, what I had to do is first convert to windows media, .wma, then to mp3.

But, I've had no problems when the file was originially in mp3, only when converting.

Ah, I got it! For some reason the bitrate on my phone's version was smaller than the real version, but the same size. I don't know why that got messed up while copying, but I re-encoded everything to 48kbps, and now they play fine
