Sim card says full (its not)any ideas?

When trying to save a new contact number to sim it says 'sim full save to phone' then opens phone contact list. Sim may have 40 #'s stored on it. When I first got the sim full mess I went through and deleted 3 contacts/#'s from sim. Tried to save new contact/# again with same mess. 'sim full' anyone got any ideas? How many #'s will a sim hold?

Don't really know, because that is Sim and Provider differently handeled. Mine stores up to 99 but my Girlfriends Sim , which is a bit newer, stores up to 200, hers is from the same provider.

I know my daughter had alot more #'s stored on her phone than I do on mine, just wondering what max was for at&t 3g sim card. Pretty sure its more that the 40 or so I have on mine. Do you think it might have anything to do with the seem change I did to store text to phone not sim?

Never heard of that effecting the capacity of the sim. Usually the sim runs aside from all we do with the seems. But so many things are new with the v3re, who would tell. And a 3G sim from AT&T should hold more then 40, that is a fairly new Sim card then.

That pretty much was what I was thinking, hopefully someone else knows what the problem is because it is frustrating to not be able to add any new #'s on sim. With the modding/experimentation I do putting #'s on the phone is not an option.

Best bet would be to stick that sim in the phone from your daughter, then you'll see if it suddenly takes more numbers. The sim card stays unchanged in the phone, whatever seems you edit, so you have no access to the capabilities of the card, only the sim pin you can get to. So if it takes more numbers in a different phone, its the edits on the v3re, if not, its the sim card.

I did some research.... and you definitely should be able to store more numbers to your SIM.

I'll look around to see if anybody has had that problem, but beyond that, I'm not sure. Let's see what happens when you try Dumba's idea.

As far as storing contacts to your phone, you could always make a backup of the phonebook with P2kTools, if you're concerned about the risk of modding.

Well .... I put the sim in daughters phone and strored new #'s to it fine. Took sim out and put back in mine and saw new #'s. Then deleted new #'s with my phone and tried to store new #'s again and 'sim full store to phone' mess came up again so it must be my phone. Now any ideas where to start, where to look to fix? I can always flash back to last good/working configuration. But now Im on a mission to try to fix without cheating. lol (actually I hope when I give up and flash it, it fixes it, and I hope the phones not broken)

Now that's a very interesting new development. I'm really interested to see what caused that.

The last one I did was the store text to phone not sim
