change phonebook layout

I need to change the phonebook layout on my V3re.
BL = 0C.F4
SW = R3442A_G_0E.43.25R
The current layout is: Name, Phone No, Speed No, Address, Category.
New layout would be: Name, Phone No, Address, Email, Description, Notes.
Motorola Phone Tools 5 has all these fields and more, but the phone isn't set up for them all, and I can't delete some of what's there.
Can this be changed through seem edits, another SW version, or a 3rd party phonebook?
I haven't been able to find a thread on this specific issue.

Thats one question I have not seen asked yet. It is a good one too. That would be a good mod. When looking at adding a new contact, I don't like all those entry fields, would be great to simplify the list.

Sounds like a cool mod idea. I have no idea how you would go about making it happen, though.

Ideally you would have a separate seem dedicated for the phonebook, with offsets for each of the possible fields, and bits to (1) turn a field on or off, and (2) put the selected fields in any order, based on individual preference. Matching the fields to those in Motorola Phone Tools would insure that those who maintain their phonebook on a computer can sync to the phone without llosing data.
