Has anyone successfully managed to load CG4 from any other V9 firmware model? Any portability here or are we out of luck with the easy way? :P

Already did, noticed the section on portability. I tried flashing a few files the "Before You Mod" section listed as being portable but had no luck. Was using F&B and it just kept bugging out with crit errors. I've flashed backups to the handset already so I know I've got the profile and drivers set up alright. Anything else obvious I'm missing?

Edit:
More specifically I've tried using packs for the Older R263313 as suggested in the guide, and although they have the same starting memory address as the CG4 on my R2633121ER all I end up with is a FEBE0034 error after the boot loader.

You have to replace ramloader from V9x profile.

Ah sorry, forgot to mention in it that you have to replace the ramloader with the one from V9x profile.

Already using the V9x loader that was included with the FB3 profile, still no luck :/

I don't get it, tried using the stickied profile and loader in this forum, tried the one marked for V9x in the Before you Mod section. The memory start locations match for the flash file and my current firmware. I'm out of ideas :S

Nonono, open the lang. pack in FB3 under firmwares tab; select V9x as active profile and then click on the 'From Active Profile' button. Then hit quick flash.

Edit: lol... Loaded a flash and phone won't load. Restored a backup CG4 and still restarting.... guess its time to flash the firmware. lol

Well you were the first one who tried that on V9x actually :P
But this porting works V9 (R263313 OLDER) -> Z9.

There is still a way. Use MotoLang Editor 2.2 . The point is to extract the languages from your desired LP, then replace them in an existing V9x LP. (Make sure you set right other settings as well)

Tried opening the CG4 smg with Moto Lang Editor 2.2... slight problem. Doesn't recognize it as an LP. Tried with a few different fonts/LP from the download section for different V9 firmwares. Something wrong with my version you think? Or is the V9 firmware just not supported as of yet?
