v9 ringtones

I have the razr2 v9 for alltel and I am having problems using my own songs as ringtones. Everytime I try to use a sound as a ringtone it says "Apply Possible: No", where bought ringtones say "Apply Possible: Yes".

I have tried:
Reducing bit rate to 64kbps
Reducing length to under 15 seconds
Reducing file size to under 300kb
changing file formats from mp3 to mp4
...and none of that has worked. I'm using a microSD 1 Gig memory card to upload the music to my phone. Anybody have alltel and know how to fix this?

Post in the regular V9 forum. This is the V9x forum. As far as I know everything you did should make the ringtone work, unless the carrier has blocked that option. May need to do a seem edit, but I'm not sure which one.

EDIT: You cannot use full songs as ringtones...
