when phone is connected on the left side are 4 boxes you can check

Read Only (whats this for)
No Distribution (whats this for)
System-this is so you dont have the delete option on phone, let me know if there is another trait it has as well
Hidden-is so that on phone you cant see it(unless it does something else that I dont know of also)

Read Only might prevent deletion, at the very least it prevents modifying the file (which would include renaming)
No Distribution would disable the "Share" function that shows up in many of the context menus
System prevents deletion *and* sets the file to survive "Master Clear" and "Master Reset"
Hidden is pretty much just that, though it's hard to delete, modify or share a file to which you don't have access. "Hidden" alone would not allow the file to survive a Master Clear/Reset though...

Just been really busy at work and haven't even had a chance to log on until 4 or 5 in the morning--and then not enough time to fire up anything but the browser. Speaking of which, I haven't had a chance to see if it will even connect here at work--nope. They evidently have the MSN servers blocked here, so it's Oscar/Google only while I'm at work...

You can try this http://www.ninjacloak.com/ and put www. msn.messenger.com in the field. Take it from there.
Or easier, use Yahoo little IM, http://de.webmessenger.yahoo.com/ its a beta version and works with msn as well, if you make a yahoo ID. Just change language to english at the bottom.

Dumba hows it going, have'nt heard from you in here last few days, hope things are well for you! Whats status on V3re section? If we develope drms for our phones how do they get put in the d/l section?(there was only two when i searched for the v3re) Should I start new thread with these questions or is this ok to ask here? Can you link me to RULES for posting/starting threads or topic discussion rules.( Ive been told by other members not to go off topic, but isnt that a natural trait of an ongoing discussion?) Dont want to be out of line here. Thanks for everything!

No rules for posting or starting threads in general. All what isn't spam or illegal is allowed, lol. Sometimes its nicer to have one instead of two threads , but we have enough bandwidth in the ModMy family not to worry. I was busy workingand could only moderate the nessessities the last few days. And you have PM modnmotos, :)

I'll try the proxy. It's a fifty-fifty shot whether it's blocked yet, but it generally takes three to five days from first use for them to catch and block a proxy.

I doubt the yahoo messenger will work since it's the MSN servers themselves that are blocked. I use Pidgin (which works with yahoo and msn, among others) and it has no problem connecting to anything other than MSN--and after trying I've asked some people at work who claim that you "can't IM from here" (they were surprised to hear there was *any* chat programs other than Windows Messenger--the knowledge/experience level here is amazing considering I work under the Department of Information & Technology).

I'll check into them at work tonight, if I get the chance...

Thanks :-)
