Help with seems and increasing inbox size!!

Hello friends
I am a serious noob and I have absolutely no idea what seems are.
Could someone give me step by step instructions on how to increase my inbox size? I found these : 0142;SEEM_SMS_MO_MAX_MESSAGE_SIZE
0143;SEEM_SMS_MT_MAX_MESSAGE_SIZE

but aside from that, I have no idea what to do.. hahaha

Those seems are not good to increase the inbox size. To increase the inbox size you need to make the phone store the SMSes on the phone itself instead of the SIM card.

As for what the actual seem edit is, we need to know what your phone model is. Once we get that, we will give you the appropriate seem.

Seem: 0032_0001
Offset: 9A
Bit: 1

If checked, gives you access to the following menu:
Messages > Options > Message Setup > Text Msg Setup > Store To: (SIM/Phone)

Should work. If not, we'll try with a different seem but if my memory serves right, this one should be fully compatible with the V3. As always, take a backup of your original 0032 seem before modifying anything ;).

I too have a V3 (R374) that I'd like to make this mod to. Its Cingular branded if that matters.

I tried the seem listed

Seem: 0032_0001
Offset: 9A
Bit: 1

And still didn't obtain the desired menu to allow me to change the text message storage location. Any other thoughts? Thanks!

anywho, i tried going into the setup, i don't seem to have that option.. :(
