connection problems

i cant seem to use any programs on my phone...i connect my phone and everything seems okay...then i open a program such as p2k tools and then i loose the little green usb icon on the screen but it still charges.......i am using the mini to micro usb adaptor that came with it...would that cause the problem?

you have to make sure that P2K tools is set to p2k05 not p2k.

To do this, while in p2k tools, click the drop down box where the mobile phone icon is and go settings > p2k mode > and check p2k05 (p2k is default)

once that is set, you're v9 will work.

@hotbarango, the USB icon displays only when the phone is in Modem Mode. It disappears when any P2k program is open.

In the options menu of P2kcommander........Make sure p2k over usb lan is not checked. Thats what is going on there. P2k commander is quite buggy for the v9x. Try p2ktools. Works great for everything p2kcommander does. Also.....In your phone go to menu/settings/connection/usb_connection/then set it to data connection. That should do the trick.

@hotbarango, if you read the Modding section of the "Before you Mod" guide, it tells you how to setup various modding software for use with your P2k05 V9x and any issues they have. Also make sure you have the latest P2k drivers.

on the p2k tools it is given me a bunch of question marks and error messages does anyone know what to do or can help me with this

Can you give more info please. EG. Does it do that when you first open it? Before or after you connect your phone? Etc.

Also before you connect your phone, click on the Phone icon and select settings. Click on P2k Mode and make sure P2k05 is selected as P2k protocol.
