bootloader question

just wondering if anybody's cracked 08.29 yet. i've had my v3 about 8 months now and still can't mod it. i heard that a few have gotten past it with testpoint but i don't even begin to understand how to do that. anyhow, just thought i'd check.

thanks for the link Dumba. :thumbsup: maybe i read this wrong but does this mean by flashing the 8.27 RAMDLD to my phone that the bootloader will actually be downgraded or is it just fooling the phone into thinking that it has a lower bootloader?

*edit* i did everything to the letter in the "read me" files and the guild. didn't work. somebody in Apristel's MP thread had the same problem as me.

"hey archer, i tried flashing on another computer, but i still get this weird phone code sig. the phone only restarts in bl mode, same old firmware from the older mark3 mp (17r) listed. the error at the end of flashing in rsd lite and in easy tools is that checksum fails. phone then requires manual restart, and restarts in bl mode with phone code sig 35:02

only thing that will flash is my old copy of your older mark3 mp, and that only flashes in p2k easy tool. trying to flash the old mp in rsd lite gives me a chipset type does not match. i tried flashing a stock mp, that doesnt work, gives same same phone code sig and only flashable in easy tool.

any clues as to why nothing works? got 8.29 bl btw, and ive never tried flashing a new bl, but did try a few mp's before flashing your first mark3. thanks for ur help

u have the right phone (R374), should be able to flash it.

the seem is to restore the functions of the side buttons to default. related to the volume thing ur talking about. if u look at the readme on the first post or in the download file, ull see more details about that."

only problem is that my firmware is .42.17r and according to Archer if it's o4..something or other that might be the problem. no so here. also, when i restart my phone now i get a pop up on it that says "flex error: phone subsidy-locked" not sure what that means, but eh. anybody got any ideas let me know.
