Got 2 new phones from Tmobile. Phones kept rebooting no matter what you are doing. talking on the phone, adding contacts, changing some settings. has anyone experienced this and solved the issue?

TIA

I wouldn't try solving it yourself, because you never know what may void your warranty. If you upgreaded or got a new contract when you bought them, you have 14 days to return them from the day of receipt for a full refund and they will even cancel your contract. Or you can go to Motorola's site here (http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/nss/service_cell_phone.asp) and either take your phone to s ervice center and get free repair, mail it to them for free repair, or you can call them and talk them into shipping you new phones (that's what I did).

I think i have solved the issue. I used the other battery, and tried messing with it, its not rebooting.

still investigating......

Yes it could've been that the contacts where the battery conects to the phone could have not been connecting properly. You can even take both of them up to T-Mobile and they will be happy to help you for free and might even give you a new battery

Had a similar issue with my ZN5 when i received it.
Phone would reboot at random times..
I noticed that the battery was not sitting tight in the phone.
I put a small strip of friction tape on the end of the battery opposite the contacts and this solved the problem as it sits snug in the phone now.
(recommend getting a replacement if its convenient for you)

No, the phone would just give an error about no SIM or something like that.

Bump.

Anybody experienced rebooting when making a phone call or recieving a one (always rebooting)? Where did I do wrong (81.03.05 fw with pink mod 1.2en).
Fixed by a complete stock fw reflash.

So it's something like an incompatibility between the PinkMod script and some FWs?

Doesn't look like so, reinstalled it and working fine. It could be Motomagx Backup making corrupted backup of CG37 and the manual hex editor fix is not truly working.

Yes, the flashfiles for the ZN5 is either smaller or larger, I can't remember, than the backup. Once a flashfile is flashed to the phone, the size of the flash changes. So, there are some necessary SEEM edits to make to a backup to flash it back or else there may be some errors. I do not know, though, if this error is directly related to this.
