Weird start off screen

Its starts off with an orange screen and it says

the only way to take it off it to push as many buttons as i can but it doesnt always work.

Any ideas

Doesn't sound like v3, sounds like iTunes v3i or so. What phone do you have exactly?

its the original V3 the Grey one.

Press *#9999# and tell us the software, colour of the phone means nothing at all.

OK, its a regular v3. The only similar problem I ever encountered on a V3 here, was somebody who couldn't get it out of a certain, not really needed, mode. Tech Mode or something. He flashed a MP to it and solved the problem. But in your case it seems random, so more like a faulty connection. To outrule faulty software, I would stil just flash a different MP. but save all your data on the phone, and make a backup, otherwise, phone numbers and so on will be lost.
