Hello All,
I just reflashed everything for my V3 running original R374_G_0E.42.0.CR and it all works fine, except I can't keep service.

I keep getting that "NO SERVICE" line and it's not constant, but I know that I should have T-Mobile for the service and 4 bars for signal strength. My wife has the brother of my V3 and it shows what I did have and hers is fine. T-Mobile can't figure it out, and it's not their problem, I'm sure. It has to be something in my V3 causing it, or at least, that's what I think.

Anyone have some helpful input? This is driving me nuts! :shots:

heres a link to motorola, click on "update my sw" and d-load the update program, it will check to see if you have the latest firmware or not.

I see that Milkbone has a link to tmobile help site, maybe they can help too!!

do a full and pds backup of your phone with F&B 3. and you could try this flash- think it may be newer than 42.0cr

Well, I tried those suggestions, and I've stayed up most of the night now.

If you can think of some more ideas, please let me know.

Thanks!

It could be that the antenna is loose inside the phone

I seriously doubt it being the antenna, since I didn't have this problem until I messed with the seems at the beginning of the situation. Remember that one?:o

Never saw that mentioned. What seem edit were you doing?

Presumably you have no backup? Are you using t-mobile or stock flex?

Yeah, this is the one that you and jedbra were helping me on. I used the stuff you guys sent me to get and we brought it back to life, but I can't keep service on it.

On the backups, I don't have the original, but I do have everything since then.

Sorry - I forget - answer a lot of posts in a day :o

I would be tempted to try a different flex - it should at least eliminate software if you get the same issue

There is a t-mobile flexlash at here (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=3264) - flash it to your phone with RSD Lite and see if there is any improvement

Ouch, no, that didn't help. I lost the video cam on that load too. Probably need something newer. Got one? :dunno:

hmm it says camera is enabled - description must be wrong.

But different flexes giving same problem is suggesting to me its not a software problem

You could try latest flash (42.17R) http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=691 if that doesn't fix it then software definitely isn't the problem

Ok, I'll give that a try as soon as the battery gets a little more charge to it. I just looked and I don't know if I dare try it that low or not.

Back after bit...

Well, I finally gave up and went to town and got another one. V3r.

Thanks for all the help though. Hopefully, I won't have anymore problems like that. I definitely won't be doing any SEEMS editing until I know more about it! :fryingpan:

Nice!! im gonna upgrade to a v3i soon. For any Q's about the v3r you'll have to post in the v3r section.:duel: What'd ya gonna do with the old v3?? Maybe someone here would be interested in taking a look at it to see what the mystery is all about!?!
