AT&T Branded Firmware for V3

Okay, :confused:, so I've been killing myself for the past few days searching for the new AT&T Firmware for the RAZR v3 :banghead:. That's right, just the plain old-fashioned v3.

One of my friends just got a new black RAZR v3 from AT&T and it's just like the Cingular phones (as many people know) but it has an updated firmware due to the company's change of name. I know I could get him to let me read the data from his phone but he moved, so I can't. I have a Pink RAZR (Cingular Branded) and am begging somebody to post up their AT&T Firmware from their V3 phone.

It would be greatly appreciated! By many I bet. And... if there is one out there, please direct it to me!

I asked him for it through an email and I will post as soon as I find out.

I know that his firmware was all-in-all just like the Cingular version, but it had AT&T logos and menu buttons instead of, for instance, Cingular Mall, and etc. And the startup and shutoff animations were AT&T instead of Cingular. This you may have already known but I like to make myself very clear, :cheers:...

If you have difficulty finding at&t branding logo, you could replace
the Cingular branding with custom images that you select & personalize
you phone like no other.

Oh I know that. Actually, I replaced everything with the AT&T stuff already. I just want the genuine copy of the firmware! I still have the Cingular Mall stuff on it and it's annoying me. My SIM has already updated itself and the network switched from Cingular to AT&T last week, that's why I want it so bad!

Actually, having at&t branding would kind of be like a mod because theres not much of it to be seen on phones yet!

Not yet - I'm waiting to hear what the guys s/w version is in order to confirm it actually is R374

Okay, the SW Version is R4515_G_08.BD.D3R... so it isn't R374. Does that mean there's not a chance?

Okay, so after some more research, I'm pretty sure I'm out of luck. I'm not even sure AT&T puts new firmware on their v3s (old stock)... but I need a new phone anyways. Which one should I get? I like the RAZR2!

maybe someone out im motoland bought a new v3 with the stock att firmware. possibly we could post a thread for it, and get a full backup with the brandings?!? Or am i just an idiot???

Its a v3r not a v3i (not the Cingular red V3r which is actually a V3i)

I think all new AT&T V3's will actually be V3r's (also known as V3_05 or V3ROHS) rather than R374 models - thats why I suggested we wait for s/w confirmation :)

I have been searching for one also. AT&T has started branding the V3 as AT&T. I know someone that has one. I wish I could post theirs but I really do not know them well enough.

Received a blue V3 from warranty for my wife and will check if it is an R374 when she gets home later today. It has all the new at&t branding.

Sweet!! let us know when you can, the way to tell is check the SW version, if it starts with R374 thats Great, if it starts with R4334 or R4515 or anything but R374..... it will just confirm that ATT only puts out V3R!!:)

A friend of mine reported (unconfirmed heresay) that when he went to the AT&T store to find out how he could "upgrade" the branding, they gave him a new SIM card which did much of it. I have not confirmed that - just a rumor afik. But perhaps someone has found something more definite.

I jus bought a att razr the other day im trying to figure out how to mod it like add java games n change the outside screen when its open, used to have a verizon razr but its alot different... if this helps the s/w is R3442A_G_0E.43.0AR
