Seem 0126_0001
offset 03 - bit 5: Items Displayed in Recent Calls > Dialed Calls (1 to display only most recent call to same number, 0 to display all calls to the same number)
offset 03 - bit 6: Items Displayed in Recent Calls > Received Calls (1 to display only most recent call from same number, 0 to display all calls from the same number)

Seem 004A_0001

offset 25F - set value to 00. Display Time, if not shown on wallpaper
offset 01B4-set value to 00. Sort files by filename. (00- in order of file name, 01-Date modified order)
(ie bit 3488)
offset 80 (01 for number display with no dashes, 00 for number display with dashes- 1-404-555-1212)

both offsets must be changed

i didnt quite understand that one, so i left it out.... when u say offset 1483, u mean what? there is no offset 1483....

also, nearly every seem i have tried from the seem map has worked.... im thinking compiling a list of all the working seems edits might be pointless, cause the seem list can be consulted.... not all will work, but most of them will...

Neways, i have editted it to the standard format.

I think it makes sense only to list the interesting seem edits & the ones that are really useful. It makes it simpler for modders rather than have to search for them from a huge list. What say??

agreed... scotty1982 has good thread for the rizr with his tested 0032_0001 seem edits. they will be the same for L9 except whatever there is for the slider in there. I'll link to that for the other seem edits

i was going through my sisters z3 today and saw that she had like 40 calls in the log, and her phone is unmodded. i don't know how many stock is for the l9. is 50 stock? i just don't call people enough or get calls to make it past ten usually before i end up flashing the ones i do have away, so what it stock?

but when i do the seem edits i am able to get it to go past 10 to test it.

it works perfectly for me, no problem at all. Never the faced the problem as mentioned by you....
Try installing the backup seem & then redo the edit, should work fine. Use P2K Tools for editting.

Well there is no seem edit, but it can be done indiviually for each skin, using Skiman. Skiman allows to edit skins at time of installing new ones or even skins already in the phone. Just click on Hide Operator Logo amongst the list of other options.

There is a SEEM, but I couldn't find it, I'll have to look harder.

P2K Advanced Editor will apply the SEEM.
'Phone Services' => 'Screen Settings' => 'Provider Logo' => 'Nothing'

I got it from the first post in this thread. I look plenty of places for the SEEM edits. The SEEM map, this thread, Z3 section, scotty1982's post, motofan, etc...

going to work on it later... right now im looking at full backup capability with P2KTools 3(3.0.8.864). so far i am able to make a complete backup of my L72 along with my L7 and i am able to flash both as well. also looking into making a guide for those who ask. just want to make certain i am seeing this with my eyes and not just able to do this on a one time basis. kind of like my previous issue with usb charging...

I can also confirm this seem did work on V3t like a charm.

I also tried it on a V3 phone (firmware:R374_G0E.42.0ER_A)
but it didn't work. Does anyone have a solution for V3 phones?:confused:

Hi, I have a question about this seem edit.

I've always had a tough time doing seem edits w/ P2K Tools so I usually just use P2K Commander to d/l the seem, make changes with XVI32, and then use P2Kcommander to upload.

You've listed values that the seem should have when making the edit for the EFR codec, it appears that particular seem has only 4 offsets.

Would the values that you have posted be the same if I was editing the seem with XVI32 - 33 20 1F FF -
is this how the values would appear in XVI32?

If no, is it possible for you open your edits in XVI32 and then post what the value are for the 4 offsets in 00A2_0001?

That would be extremely helpful as then I would know that I have applied the correct edits for the EFR codec.

i would assume it is intended for direct edit(no bit manipulation)
i have yet to try this one as well as my phone already seems to carry a clear signal across conversations("if it aint broke DONT fix it":D) if i may assume one more thing here, it would be that this would work similar to a mic or speaker boost...
will add this to my "Seems to try tonite" list and report on my findings and upload the seem if no1 else beats me to it!:cheers:

I also did a direct edit in XVI32 rather than changing the bits.

Calls do seem a bit clearer but I'd like to know I did it correctly.

phone calls are still recorded at 5kbs (when holding down the voice key) but that might just be the way the firmware is designed to records calls, regardless of thed amr codec used.

Anyway thanks for your help, looking forward to hearing your response sometime later.


ih and BTW, anyone know how to enable test mode during a phone call? I have all of the seem edits done to enable the test mode/Engineering menu.

correct you are! test mode/Engineering menu would be the other way of checking that seem edit. i have had issues with it because it would show any time i pressed a key, when enabled. i havent had much success with it but i think partly that is due to the fact that i didnt know what i was doing. i think all you have to do is go under FTS or something like that and enable it, any other suggestions? will be posting my findings on that seem edit later...:thumbsup:

No, change the actual HEX value. Try, FF, for unlimited.

Thanks BF i got the Call List to increase with the seems.

I realized that i didn't changed both offsets.(14 and 14) to (32 and 32) and that was the problem.

MY phone reads as l72 but it is l9.it makes me feel very uncomfortable..

if anyone has L9 origninal firmware please help

you can change the phone model. it is stored in seem 0117. use xv132 or similar program to edit it.

Use P2KSEEM SLVR Edition, open the seem, and change the text in the text column from L72 to L9

Hi i know this is an old thread but i've been trying to do this edit in P2K but not sure i'm doing this right. Once i get the a2 seem up i change the bits below to reflect the 33 20 1F FF but when i save to phone and and pull up back that seem from the phone to check if the changes were made it is showing the old figures. Also when i try to save the changes to a file and re-open back the edited file it doesn't show the changes. Appreciate a walk through if you can. thanks

im still lost...seem edits are all over our forum just a matter of looking for them and its not that difficult(for me)
not sure what icon you are seeing but i have a full screen(nothing but the view finder and two buttons options and exit) before and after i see a preview of what i took with two buttons options and send:confused:

please keep in mind, if it was only a hex edit, we would've only posted the values. being this offset may control a few other things, we cant exactly tell you what the hex should be. theres always trial and error (which is why we ask you to make a backup prior to ANY modding!

under "Additional Options" (from the "Quick Reply" box, click on "Go Advanced"), click on "Manage Attachments"
NOTE the "Max Filesize" for each type of file being uploaded and click on on "Submit" and as long as it meets the filesize requirement it'll be posted!

i have uploaded Start~up.mp3 .. and it's works good...
but power~down.mp3 does not work.....
what's the seem to activate power-down?

all you have to do is flash your original backup or you can flash with another mp for boot loader 0C.70 and make sure you selected the L9/L72 profile in the F&B.

is the only edit possible. Tried it on my phone, didnt work for me either.
