Anyway to get your V9x to play music over 256k?

I just brought a v9x

Im planning to use it as a mp3 player, but a few of the songs i put on there didnt work, i real the manual and it said it cant play songs over 256k,

Is there anyway to get around this?

Simply convert the songs to 256 kbps.
