Yes it will work. I went from v3r to 9x. Bought 2 of those adapters for my 9x. I think it comes with one. You can use the v3r ac charger too.

If the v9x is new, one will be in the box.

I've searched and read but can't find any way to get my Moto Razr V9x to be discovered by my computer in any way, shape or form. I have never gotten any version of MPT to work with any Razr I've ever owned. I have 5.0, the adaptor that came with the phone, A moto USB to micro, but MPT will not discover my phone, nor will my Laptop discover with just the USB cable. All I really would like to do is be able to back up my Address Book, maybe add some music on occasion and simple tasks like that.
Very frustrating to have to remove the 8 GB Micro SD card to accomplish all this. Are there any other programs that might help besides MPT?
Thanks
Tim

you should install the latest Motorola drivers which is Handset_USB_Driver_v3.7.0.

I went through that process, the message was that I should not install the latest driver because a newer version was already installed. I assume your talking about to my laptop?
The phone tells me I can't update because no updates are available. It's a brand new V9x. I even tried going the troublesome route of removing the 8 GB card from the phone, and using an adapter to view/edit the contents of the Micro SD Card but my computer locks up because it will not read the card, which I have never run across before. It's a 1 yr old Toshiba Satellite P105-S6024 maintained and updated regularly.

Don't know if this will help...... I have a V9x and purchased Motorola Phone Tools. I installed it but said it didn't recognize my phone. It then tried to run Live Update but Live Update said I had the latest version. (I installed 5.0 from the factory cd) After I got over being pissed that I may have wasted my money I found the Live Update icon in the phone tools folder. I ran Live Update manually using the icon and it found 2 version updates. I think 1 was 5.07b the other was 5.13b. I let the update run and my V9x is now recognized. I just ran Live Update a few minutes ago and got a newer update - 5.17d If this won't help with what was being discussed I apologize.

I appreciate the help, version 5.17d is the last one that appeared to update but still no luck.
Thanks
