Download shx flasher from here (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=1969) and read this thread (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2644).
It is so much simpler and less intimidating than using the command line 'flasher' that shxflash wraps around.
Follow the instructions in the app.
You may or may not be able to flash using a Mac. The Cingular L7 isn't compatable, but the V3 is.
I've updated my flex, and changed the DRM on my V3 using the command line tool AND shxflash.
