hi, i am the Person for problems relatin to ZN5(had it replaced 3-4 times )
i seem to have the same problem with the battery, try this take the battery out, and them the port where the battery connects to the fone, jus clean it usin a ear bud or somethin...do the same to the corresponding port of the battery put it in and boot the fone
this problem basically happens only coz of mis alignment of the battery, this happens due to faulty assembly of the phone or even faulty back door of the phone.....

I suggest that you take your phone to a Moto service center or call them and have them replace it for free. You can get free repair or a replacement as long as you are under warranty. If you try reflashing it to fix it you may void your warranty

Sorry to thread jack but I had a question for you. You say since you bought the phone on ebay there is no warranty, is this actually true? I think all Motorola phones have a couple year manufacture warranty but always wondered if Motorola would still honor that for a phone bought off of ebay.

In that case, go to the firmware super thread and find the correwct firmware corresponding to the current firmware version of your phone. Download it. Do not flash a firmware that is not the same version as the one already on your phone. To flash, you need to get the phone into flash/bootlaoder mode:

1) While the phone is off, press and hold the * (star) and # (pound) keys.

2) Press the power button while those two keys are being held.

3) Release the keys once the black screen with white text comes up

4) Plug the phone into the computer.

5) Run RSD Lite, you can find it in the downlaods section. Drivers are there too.

6) Select the flashfile you just downloaded, and flash it to your phone. LET THE PROCESS FINISH COMPLETELY! The phone will restart when it is done.

All Motorola phones have a 1 year warranty from the date they where originally purchased. You can check their return policy.

Well you will have warranty as long as you have the paper.

i had the same problem too..every time it would like bump with my leg or something it would restart..then it would say invalid battery every once in a while..i did read that the battery was kind of loose..so i did a little mexican work on it lol..to put in a little more "pressure" i folded some paper into a little piece..and put it in middle of the battery and the battery cover..it did help even though once in a while it will shut uff..it is weird. i have droped from my hands to the floor (which is carpeted) and nothing happens..but another time i just set it on a table and it restarted..really weird. i guess they made this phone too quickly..

It's a common problem. I don't know about any fix for it and so far we have to live with it I guess :(

The battery not recognized was a rather common problem with E2 and a1200, i had it once, and simply took the battery out and waited, then put it back, but i thought it had been fixed on MagX, but it seems it's a different cause, cuz on E2, that problem was permanent, you could recover of it, not even with flashing.
I think the piece of paper is weird tho, you should send it back, cuz that should be like that ¬¬

I have a problem with my Zn5. It just restarted and went to a black screen saying:

Bootloader
06.2A
Err:A5,69,35,00,E2

Battery OK
Ok to program
Connect USB to computer

How can I get this problem solved. Thanks for your help.
