Hi,
I have a RAZR2 V9X which is locked to AT&T.
I downloaded the firmware R2633121ER_U_9E.03.39R_LP1163_USEMERALDORATTUSR263 312104A: LOCKED; AT&T US; Language Pack 1163
which is also my original firmware of my Motorazr2 V9X.

Then i used SBF RECALC and got the message 2 Sim- or Netlock found and removed. Then i flashed it to my phone using Flash and backup.

But again its asking me for a subsidy password. Why is this happening even after i removed it from the flash file.

Any help appreciated.

Because your phone is locked to AT&T too.

I didn't get it.
I mean I followed as per your instructions to remove the subsidy lock.
I backed up all CG's and removed the sim locks. And then flashed it.
Then why is it again asking for the subsidy password.

Do i need to flash some other firmware.
My firmware is:- R2633121ER_U_9E.03.39R

Because you CAN NOT unlock it by flashing it, period.

Ok. Then can you please tell me how can i unlock this phone.
I did call AT&T but i got a 8 digit unlock code which does not work.
Any other methods?.

You have to get 16 digit unlock code. Squash them at AT&T, their mistake.

Did you get your phone unlocked ? I had similar problem and the code supplied by AT & T , gave a 8 digit which did not work !

No Its still locked. These AT&T people give me new excuses everytime. i blasted motorola about this but they said they cannot help in this.

Well you have to squash them. Otherwise you must buy the unlock code from the online unlocking service.

I got the 16 digit unlock code from ATT, but no instructions. How do I unlock the phone w/the code? Thanks

Can anyone suggest some good unlocking site which are reliable and successful in getting phones unlocked. My phone is still locked.

I told ATT I was going out of the country, and they gave me the 16 digit unlock code. It worked ok.

yes they are willing to give me code. But they don't have it in their system. :banghead: The customer representative told me that 99% they find it, i'm the unlucky 1%.

They told me to contact Motorola who flatly refused to listen to my complaint and instead wanted an email confirmation from ATT(that they don't have the code).

ATT is not willing to mail unless I'm a customer for them.

Now I'm stuck between both of them.
