Has anyone here succeedded in telnetting Z6? I'm thinking to get my Z6 in a few weeks.So,I want to know about telnetting it.Is it same as my Rokr E2? Where can I download the drivers? Thanks.

I haven't. Seems rather difficult to do so at the moment. Teleneting availability to port 23 doesn't seem to be activated on the phone firmware.

But, when I do hook up my Z6 to Radiocomm, I notice that it connects on 192.168.1.12 port 11000. But when I try to telnet into that port I get no response and cannot manoeuvre around.

So sad nothing to mod for Z6 at this time.But it's OK.We just wait and see the Russian.

The harder it is,the more exciting U'll get in modding it.Telnet is the most exciting part in modding Linux.I love it so much.:rockon:

I know, but I'd like to start with the modding. So far not much info to go on. Maybe I'm too impatient.

Yeah,we must be patient.First time I bought my E2,I'd been waiting for long time to mod my phone.And now, E2 is really amazing with a lot of stuff to mod.

Hi,

After having linuxmod SP1_RC2 on Z6 I was able to telnet and FTP to Z6

From Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) Telnet flawlessly working.
Success both on FTP and telnet with this.

Need to have:
1. switch phone to setting/connections/USB setting to Modem & tools then
from Ubuntu:
sudo modprobe usbnet
sudo modprobe cdc-acm
sudo ifconfig usb0 192.168.1.1
telnet 192.168.1.2
or ftp root@192.168.1.2

Telnet and FTP from Ubuntu hardy 8.04 unfortunately doesn't work (unless kernel recompile!) (module zaurus missing)

User root password root. (pwd not needed)

By the way...
From Windows XP sp2 both, FTP and telnet works.

download putty and give 192.168.16.2 to the address line.
Or write ftp://192.168.16.2 in any explorer window address bar.
