seem editing-remapping keys

hello, nub here :) i've compleated (successfully!) a few edits on the phone. Reflashed it, installed a MP, put the hacked itunes on my slvr (it was a euro phone), shanged some skins and some fonts and i'm really happy with the phone. i have new housing comming anyday as well (i have already taken the slvr apart and reassembled it).

my question is about seem editing. i havent quite mastered it. my goal it to change the functions of the end call/power key to the PTT ket on the left side of the phone. this is because my power/end call key does not work once i turn the phone on, so it does work to power the phone up.

i have p2k tools, and p2k menu editor, and i have read the guide here (http://www.modmymoto.com/guides/slvr/remappingkeys.php) but i dont understand how to actually DO it. if someone has the time and could help me it would be apreciated! i really want to start using the svlr again. (i got tired of yanking the battery out to end a call when i got someones macheine) and i just cant really figure it out.

Either use the 005b_0001 seem from your phone or download the stock one from the guide. Open it with your seem editing software, and locate offset 17 (PTT key). The value in the box will be 15, change that to 11 (power/end), save it, and restart the phone. I believe that should do it.

A pic to help you. Also I just tried this on my phone, and it worked just like I described, I changed the PTT key to power/off.
