Because if you have 06.2B you cant flash 06.2A over it, it is not possible to downgrade the bootloader as of today. Their is noRSA 06.2B but 06.2B is restricted to only 17R_128 flashes

oh!! finally it's less dangerous that is was ... so i think that i'll try it as soon as i get some free time to backup all my mods i've already did on my ZN5.
Just one questions those 2 updates fix the problem that all all the info on the phone is gone when you turn it off? or it persist? if it's fixed i'll use it as my daily usage FW :D

Well yust to give some feedback, the last update (2nd update) is more stable, althought it sometimes hangs, also the Camera Busy persist, but is not so often. In other aspect i thing is really fast (althought i have tried 10I) the Swap Memmroy also is enabled by default :D

Well E8 doesn't use MPKG, it uses MGX, and to port them to ZN5 first you will need compatible libs and perhaps even porting ilove3d's MPKGBox (bad name as it doesn't even manage MPKG but MGX xD), the first step in other words, will be to have Show* libs, this things allow you to create GUI for apps to work in a better way, but not only GUI it also handles with plenty other aspects.

I'm not kids but i think i know how to do it, MGX on E8 work with a native applications as i said before MPKGBox, so it modified the asociations to open any file with a .mgx ending with that program, and that allows you to execute MGX, E8 does NOT run MPKG OK, those are for E2, Z6 and even E6 (and their variants).

Althought E8 is LJ 7.1 and my Zn5 is LJ 6.2 =( they share some lib entries in common, i've been testing it with NestorM and even tried to ran MPKGBox and modified the binary to run until a point where it needs a method that is not supported in ZN5, mmm let's try somenthing, fi someone have the source of mpkgbox and has the E8 toolchain ready to compile please just comment the instruction that use insertChild in the MpkgBoxGUI.cpp file (line 137 here) compile it and send it to me so i can test it. That's the method that is missing in the ZN5, may be avoid that method will make MPKGBox run in ZN5 :D. Just an idea :fryingpan:

About the files needed will be libs from the phone and obviously the source code of MpkgBox, i have it somewhere in my HD. Let me ask before posting it (NestorM are you there *-) =) )

Well the OS of E8 and ZN5 are very similar but the version of E8 is the latest AFAIK, the point is that as they are very similar most of the libraries are almost the same, but not all. Each library contains many functions, classes and other stuff that are used by our Native App (and the OS obviously) now as the MpkgBox is compiled for the E8 there are some functions that doesn't exist in the librares of the ZN5, that's why it doesn't run.

The Idea is compile MpkgBox with the E8 toolchain (since the ZN5 toolchain doesn't exist yet :$ ) and avoid the use of those functions that doesn't exist in the ZN5. I hope it's clear wha i mean ^^

There's one prob, when I tried applying update 1, I got a critical error and ended up in the boot-loader though. Any ideas? Or those updates have to be ported as well?

I suggest using CG35 & CG36 from the 81.11.2CR firmware. Using them now and the phone is speedier a lot. Also CG37 is needed to be flashed (which will reset your settings, but there is not the phonebook bug)

I can flash the whole 2CR actually on my phone as it's 06.2B and not just a few CGs but I prefer to leave out the branding. Those CGs you mentioned are the kernel and firmware right?

Yes. Actually it might be better to flash it whole without these codegroups: CG42, CG43, CG44, CG46, CG48 and CG52 since you got the 06.2B boot on the phone.

I suggest flashing CGs from the Retail Italian (AP flexes + BP flex, i.e 42, 43, 44, 48 and 52) and flashing them - CG48 wipes out phone memory like pictures and audio. Also blank out your personal data -> flash CG37 from the 17R or 2CR ...

Then put your data back using MPT.

Yes R6637_G_81.11.17R_128_LP0003_GSJPIXL00ECOMMNA is unbranded. The firmware comes from the T-Mobile flashfile, but this flashfile does not have any of that T-Mobile preloaded stuff.

Did you make a backup before flashing?

If so, follow this guide (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3345471&postcount=2) to split your backup file and obtain CG48. Reflash just this file with RSDLite.

If not, try and find your original firmware in the downloads section.
