Modify Razr R3442A

Ive been posting everywhere no one can help me it seems like.

Does anyone know if there is a way to modify the phone so it can store more than just 10 recent dialed, missed, and recieved calls. I know on the sleek or whatever the phone is called it stores up to like the last 60. Can you modify a razr to store more? Any help would be love!

Yes it is a V3r - moved to V3r board

SEEM 0050_0001/0051_0001 controls number of entries in received/dialed numbers list

both offsets must be changed
offset 8F - set to number of calls you want in hex (ie. "14" would give you 20 calls; "32" gives you 50 calls; max out at "3C" for 60 calls)
offset 93 - set to number of calls you want in hex (ie. "14" would give you 20 calls; "32" gives you 50 calls; max out at "3C" for 60 calls)

ima try and edit it and see what happens. im not good at seem editing :/ Now You told me how to change it to 60 for both dialed, and recieved, what about missed calls?

btw what should i use to edit the seem and what driver do i need. I currently use Motorola phone toolls i dont want to mess that up

Missed calls come under received

It can screw it up yes - but you generally only need to create a new profile.

No I checkd again. I just got the phone mailed to me the other day, BRand new because I broke my old phone. Att wireless sent it to me

Try with P2k Tools... P2K Man never worked for me either.....

The R3442A is a new S/W set we haven't seen before here.....

I tried P2k man but it wouldn't work. I could connect in at mode , but then i went to switch to p2k but it couldn't. I couldn't open the seem viewer.

It's now in the USA as well. I saw a T-Mobile branded one today. I have made a backup of it but it is still locked. The FB3 profile is available for download as well.

I also have this same particular model which I just recently received online from AT&T wireless and my GF purchased the same model at the local AT&T store. Both of these V3's contain identicle specs as far as I can tell.

This may or may not help anybody but I have been trying to create a backup with FB3 for over a month now only to consistantly receive errors. Could this model be so new and different that I need to take a different path? I am like 99.99999% it's a V3re based on my reading and physical information obtained from the phone.

Is there any chance I need to use a different profile with FB3.0.7 other than the Motorola V3re (V3 06) profile?

I don't know what else I can offer except to say I have had no trouble with FB3.0.7, using the V3R3_06 profile. I have made and restored numerous full backups (which have saved my butt many times in the past weeks as I play with this new Version of S/W :banghead: !!!). If FB says it recognizes the phone as an V3Re, then maybe try reinstalling drivers with the latest link in the downloads section?? Are you getting the error after the loader when it tries to make the jump?

Thanks man, great suggestion! I think the problem was exactly that. Anyways, this morning I reinstalled the P2k drivers from this site on a new machine along with FB3.0.7 and it worked like a a charm! I am very happy with this progress. I went ahead and made a full backup in .SHX and .FS3 formats along with each individual CG group in both .SHX and .FS3 formats as well. I now feel well prepared to indulge in more of the expermentation.

Today I have:
Enabled the Java App Loader
Uploaded and installed multiple .Jad files to the V3re
Flashed the Cool V3re DRM to the V3re

I saw a nice thread about about how to make the record time unlimited which would be great once I free up some space by removing this stock crap that is hogging crucial, limited space. Do I run risk by deleting these files that I won't be using or can I just reflash if I mess things up and it will be all good? I wasn't sure if the full backup contained images, ect.. I would assume so because it is around 70mb. My next big goal is to free up some space.

Hey there!
I am new to modding phone but I just bought a brand new RZR v3 today. The SW version is R3442A_G_0E.43.04R_A. Now I have read some of the posts on modding this phone, and it seems some people are saying it can't be modded, and others are saying its a version v3r and to check those threads. I installed the MAIN RZR USB driver no prob its when I run the P2KTools app and it detects the phone and is looking for 3 drivers :
"Motorola Accessory", Motorola MCU Data Logger", and "Motorola Test Command" but it wont accept the drivers I have. HELP !!!! =) Any additional advice on modding this puppy would be greatly apprciated (if its possible). I am assuming this is an older phone since I got it free with a 3 yr. contract.

Make sure you have the latest drivers installed from the downloads section (if you haven't already).

Also, some people report better reliability loading everything when they use one of the USB ports on the back of their computer (the ones that are part of your motherboard) as opposed to using the front USB ports.

I have found that P2KTools and P2KCommander sometimes won't load up all the drivers when I start them. I sometimes have to unplug the phone and then reconnect it to get them to load. Also, if you can find a copy of RSDLite (you will have to "Google" to find it, not kept on this Site), I often have to launch RSDLite first, minimize that app, then launch my other P2k software to get it to load all the drivers and connect.

Does anyone have the original firmware for V3RE for ATT ??? I am desperately trying to locate this because I was messing with my phone and ended up needing to flash a new firmware. The problem is I am not particularly pleased with the firmware I have loaded (not official). I want to work with the original. Any help is appreciated!

I have this same phone, i am using a mac but all the good info seems to be here, im using a ShxFlasher for mac, and im using MP that say they are for this S/W, yet my phone will make it to 98% then the phone says Critical Error DEA1. Im stumped, and could use some assistances, its a at&t and i am trying to unlock it to get it to work with a japanese carrier. Any help will be appreciated.

The mac forum isnt gettin me anywhere, they are not very exact in the guides, more for all phones, just says have the right version software, I downloaded one that said it was for R3442A and nothin worked. I think that means mac is havin same issues as PC. hell i dont know.

What MP did you use? That doesn't depend on mac or PC. If the MP is good, then it's certainly a problem with the flashing program. And truly, we know nothing about mac flashing programs.

i got it from the downloads section on here, R3442A_G_0E_42_03R_LP0003-FF_desbloqueado thats the name of it, i tried another one from the dl sections too, neither worked, both had the same problem, im off to work, ill worry about it later. thanks guys.

Try something well established like jklong03's latest MP. If that fails, too, I'm not sure what to say. Maybe find a Windows VM? I dunno.

While we may be unfamiliar with the mac sw, (and one of us would really like to see some linux or bsd proggies), I think the overriding point is that if your main aim is to unlock the phone we will not be able to help at all. As far as we have found, there is no way to unlock the V3.06 via software.

If you are just wanting to get a successful flash done, we *may* be able to exptrapolate common windoze problems just to see if they're related. What version MacOS are you on? If it's OSX or higher, and you can get to a terminal and go root, I *may* be able to figure out some things you could do to at least make sure the phone and 'puter are connected and communicating properly--but we need to get you under the Apple ui and into the FreeBSD on which it's running...
