I recently updated my KRZR with the Motorola Software Update, and I haven't been this angry for a while.
Not only did it clear all my settings, change everything, get rid of my custom skin, and deleted my ringtones, it also deleted the MP3 Player, the thing I used the most!
Now it has this gay little "mobile music" instead! So I was wondering this...
Is there anyway to downgrade my phone?
Or...
Is it possible to edit some files and put the MP3 player back in?
Help is much appreciated.
Thanks,

Telus is my carrier.
I wasn't going to update, but my Dad works for Telus and he said that I should...
Also it deleted all my ringtones I gifted from my friends phone, and my games lmao.
Last time I will get an update done.
Anyways, I got my phone around Feb 10th, so would there be any "updates" you could say, from that time?
Thanks,

You can try to take your phone back in and see if you could get it exchanged for one that has not been upgraded.

Well... That is an option, I would get a new phone, but I'm guessing that they would either say no, or give me a phone with updates. :(

I'm with telus too, but I can't stand the music player that came with it. It wont read the songs off my T-Flash card, and thats where all my tunes are. Is there a Java Player out for the K1m that'll load up the T-flash contents?

I did the same thing, upgraded my K1M software hoping that maybe an updated phone would let me select the ringtone I want. And lo, no more mp3 player. :hissyfit:
Now if there isn't a way to downgrade the software, would a factory restore fix things? Or am I basically screwed? Like the first poster, my phone is primarily used as an mp3 player and this change really upsets me. I'm locked into a bloody contract with telus for another two years, maybe they'll replace it with a non-updated phone?
I want my phone back the way it was. :(
