I used the old method to install the drivers (old P2K drivers) and my V3 was working great, charging and all. I installed Motorola Phone Tools and this obviously made the drivers stop working normally, it didn't detect the phone. I decided to uninstall MPT and downloaded the new 3.7 drivers, thing is even without MPT it keeps telling me that there was a problem detecting the device and the installation of it was unsuccessful.

I've been trying to install/uninstall, restart, old drivers...etc. but nothing, now it does not identify my phone at all :(

Can anyone help me?

been seen before... you might be stuck having to always have mpt running in the background to connect now.

But I have uninstalled MPT already, why can't drivers work after all?

They leave some entries behind. Search for other threads about it. I think I saw one in the V3i section where they got the MPT drivers off.

They are somewhere in Windows/ System32/ DRVStore. Have a look at the date of the files and drivers in there, that will give a clue which ones are from MPT
