well do u guys have any good animated gif (176x220) for the boot???

also is there any easy method of putting back all the original seems without doing it 1 by 1???

BTW i noticed a bug :P
in the multimedia -> music player if u turn on a song then pause it and close it by pressing the red off button the music will stop but the speakers will still be on x.X quite noticeable if u have tweaked the gain table(yes i know i posted it in another thread)

BTW is there some bug in the 22.08R coz yahoo recognizes it as L7e wah i mean if u check through the internet .

also the stock seem thats there in the download section look quite outdated coz after i put them my pone was worse than when i had bought it as far as modding is concerned.
did my phone come pre modded?!:woot:

don't think its a bug nor are the seems outdated...i think its more of an issue with the yahoo servers and i have noticed certain MPs to have different seems edited(some things on, other things off) if you want to learn more about seem editing, it would behoove you to read the guides and not just the standard guides but the ones in the forums as well as stickies. stock seems will only have stock items enabled so as far as modding goes i just think you have a different stock seem set...
like for me i had to edit my seems to show the auto update, save battery, fun lights, voicemail indicator from txt and a host of other things... good luck and happy modding!

The seems are from 22.04R, and all flexs have different SEEMs.

22.08R?

Can you do animated GIFs for start up? I wasn't aware that you can; thought you had to have RSA removed for startup/shutdown animations. I tried a little while ago with motobootscrnrepl but it only detects jgp, jpeg and bmp's with the L9 profile  Oh yeah, and it gives me an error when I try and load my bootscreen from my cg8.smg: "Read beyond end of file"

i duno about the startup image...but the bootscreen/hellomoto can be changed, read here (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43847)

Yeah, I wasn't referring to that. In regards to the OP though, why would he be looking for a .gif when the bootscreen can't be in that format...

not sure i follow you...what are you referring to as the "OP"?
the bootscreen is usually in bmp format and the su image is in .gif:confused:

OP = original poster. Sorry for the unclarity.
Okay. Try and make your bootscreen a .gif image. You can't. The MotoBootScrnReplL9 found in the downloads section will not support that kind of file when you go to the Load from file... tab. That's all I'm saying. So the point of the original poster searching for .gif images is useless, seeing as how he can't make that his bootscreen.

i understand you now, but the question remains as to which HE is referring to...the stock boot screen and the su(start up) are very closely related being that they start from the same hellomoto image so...we need clarification from the...OP:thumbsup:

Can you do animated GIFs for start up?

Yes, all of the already existing 'Custom Startup \ Custom Shutdown' rules for other phones apply.

To enable Custom Startup and Custom Shutdown Sounds and Images:

Use P2K Advanced Editor, it is easiest:

'Phone Services' => 'Wakeup and Goodbye'

Use a P2K File Manager to copy your files to the appropriate place.

Custom startup sounds are stored in c\mobile\audio
Custom startup GIFs are stored in a\

http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t182/bigsmoka_pics/startshut.jpg

Check the boxes appropriately for want you want, then choose the files.

Now you will have Custom Startup\Shutdown Sounds\GIFs

how to increase the volume of the radio???

njg

Same way as you would raise the volume of a ringtone... or volume in a call... the side buttons.

how to increase the volume of the radio???

there isnt a specific setting for the radio however, you can use motosound to raise the speaker or wired headset:thumbsup:

haven't found a way to raise the radio volume so far. The speaker volume can be increased, that would increase the radio volume if routed through the speaker, but no idea how to increase it through the headset. I guess the stock value is the max volume possible as of now for the radio.
Motosound can't be used to increase volume of Radio trough wired headset.

must have been the multimedia setting:confused:

... Am I crazy or am I the only one who can raise the volume of the radio through the side buttons... And yes, motosound can raise the volume in a wired headset... does so almost too much--an increase in 3 will make it unbearably scratchy and too loud, even at 4th or 5th volume level on the phone.

R^7Z
10-19-2007, 04:01 PM
and "no" you aren't the only one that can do that...i think greatdude was only pointing out, any other means of raising the radio volume...

odd
i have increased the volume of both my speaker and my wired head set but they don't affect the volume of radio if u start radio they comb back to normal only files stored on the mobile have a raised volume and if u incerase the call gain then the call too

njg
10-19-2007, 10:56 PM
My apologies. I could have sworn that motosound affected the volume for the radio. Is the radio not loud enough as it is? I mean, I won't be the judge and tell you what's loud and what's not... but it seems more than substantial for regular, even noisy environment listening... at least for the wired headset.

Okay. Let me ask you to clarify here. So you're saying that you can raise the volume of the headset, but not the speakers? Did you use MotoSound?
As for your friend's... classmate... I don't know. THE ONLY OTHER WAY to listen to the radio that I'M AWARE OF, besides the headset, is the speakers. This is because the connection is a mini-USB connection and takes a special kind of headset.. . It can't be manipulated by software. It's hardware dependent. He may have an adapter which allows for another kind of headphone connection, but that's all that I can think of.

Just to clarify things up.
You cannot use motosound to increase the volume of the radio, all the settings in Motosound affect mp3, but not the radio.
Personally, i find the volume of radio pretty high by itself & there is no need to increase it further.

1 of my friend said hat his school friend has a software which lets listen to radio without a head set?? gprs or lie???

There is a software called Radiobee, wherein you use GPRS to listen to the radio, but the radio stations are not the national channels but the international channels.
It is similar to listening radio on the internet. Have never tried it out though.

i agree but, i mainly i use it when not at my computer or near one...i really hate the dial-up speed they seriously need to do something about that before i start investing...however 1 cent per byte isnt a BAD rate but wouldnt i pay for an internet package, but thats just me...:tapdance:

hey guyz i hear of a trick to use the radio without the headphones like the *#9999# u get to know the flex thingies *#**672*#(smthing like that) starts the radio without the head phone though it doesn't work on mine one of my friend says that it works on his moto ming also it could be that it requires a seem edit coz the *#9999# requires 1 to work .
u guyz heard of anything like this can sm1 confirm?? or it the sequence wrong?? i really want the radio to work without the headset
and any1 found any way to boost the radio volume ny seem edit anything??

also it would be nice if u could mark (in the download section) which which mp is a L9 and which is a L72 coz i have noticed considerable drop in speed in the L72 mp

also would flashing the full backup also restore all the seem edits i have done???

and how to increase range/speed of bluetooth transfer?
any idea?

(i think)the L9 MPs are 08.22 and the L72 MPs are 08.21(check your s/w version; R452J_G_08.21.08R defined as L72 MP and R452J_G_08.22.05R defined as L9 MP)...can anyone else confirm this?

"it should", it really depends when you made your backup...if you flash any stock MPs you will most definitly have to start from "square 1"
and how to increase range/speed of bluetooth transfer?
any idea?
right now we are waiting on RSA removal which i think bfielding has taken a vaca from for the time being(j/k :D) but to my knowledge the speed and transfer rate cannot be modded...(i think) it is hardware dependent:shots:

that is correct for the most part.... i flashed all the flexes and that was right, except one 21.09r said L9 in f&b3

phone book is stored in CG2 but you can also make a separate backup file with f&b3 so you dont have to flash the contents of CG2 to your phone to get your phone book. same thing goes with your messages except i dont think they are stored in CG2...it is possible though. you have to remove them from your phone book along with your messages. in a sense if you plan on sharing or making an MP it is recommended that you do this prior to making your backup...
