is there a safe limit on how high i should up my speaker vol?

Not that I know of, but maybe somebody else will have a better answer.

I just usually slowly increase it until it's where I like it.

agreed. i turned mine up too high and now my speaker is fuzzy sounding. play with it a bit to find the right volume for you.

Stock max volume is the best setting. I also did a volume mod and and blew my speaker. If your concerned about possible speaker damage then just leave it alone....imo
