Hi, I have such a problem and the last two days I did not nowhere to move forward.
I have a motorola V3re and it activated IM, I have a choice of three protocols, AIM, MSN, Yahoo ..
I normally use this service to AIM and I really appreciated.
But, I have such a problem, I fill nick, password, and I have chosen to log in, then there was "connecting" and after a while it dropped.
So I was looking in and I came to it in "Offline setigs" is set ISDN set ... '
It was filled with something so I deleted it and GRPS APN: I wrote "ointernet"
And in the User name: "none"
Password: "the nothing"
I came to that, whether in the Name and Password to write anything it always end up a mistake.
GPRS APN But I probably completed as well, since then I Connecting was always right.
Then they always appear before signing on .. and ends with the error: System is not responding. And there will be many bits have been transferred.
Does anyone with experience? Or managed by someone advise? Thank you very much. :)

PS: I am from the Czech Republic and I have a Vodafone CZ

Maybe settings need to be reset. So go HERE (https://motorolasetup.tarsin.com/sendappsettings.htm) and tell motorola what phone and carrier you have and motorola will send settings to your phone. Then try again with your login and password.

That link will only be good, if you are in the US, but you can find a similar page from Motorola on your Motorola Homepage, after selecting the Country, and looking for support, operator settings for Wap and MMS.

Can you goto AIM nick and password settings from computer and change to new nickname and password, and then try from phone again?

Still the same, does it even when you write entirely pointless nick and password :|

Then it may be your phone, I would make a backup, then flash with a stock mp from the d/l section then try to log in. Is your phone locked or unlocked? If its unlocked make sure you flash with an unlocked MP. If locked then it doesnt matter if MP is locked or unlocked.
