hello, im new to the v9 and wasnt aware you could modify it. how do you get the mod applications on the phone? do you go online with the phone somehow and download it or do it on the pc and put it on the micro card? what and where do you get the mod program?

You will need to use a USB cable to connect your phone to your pc. You will also need to install the USB driver (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=2239).

You will need to use the mentioned software that's mentioned in the guide for the desired mod.

You change it the same way you did in other phones with one additional step.
1. You edit the /a/plmn_text_table.bin to say what you'd like.
2. You set the phone to read the operator tag from the phone and not the sim. To do this, edit seem 0032, offset 51, and set bit 3 to 0.

Restart phone and your custom operator tag should appear on in place of AT&T.:thumbsup:

Thanks for that my brother (or sister!) from down under! What you told me didn't work because it doesn't change it permanently, just for that message, HOWEVER, you led me to the answer so I still thank you big time!

To change it permanently go to text setup and change it from there! Hooray! There's a whole bunch of language options and everything, so all I did was change "Itap" english to "Tap English" and presto! Problem solved!

I don't like the funlight mod. The changing of the charger light is just not practical. There has to be a way to change it so the charging light will work.

Yes, indeed. And the phone worked okay. But the real flex version no longer appear like when you check it in phone status or connected to fb3. Instead, Mofan.Mobi appear as the flex version. So I was hoping that somebody may suggest another way of doing a clean reflash with the firmware, flex and all.

Well, thank you for your help Scrilax_CZ. By the way, I saw the following firmwares in your rapidshare upload: R263313_U_A0.03.16R, R263313_U_A0.03.1DR and R263313_U_A0.03.18R. Which one is the latest version? And can I used these fws in my phone?

None, latest is R263313_U_A0.03.43R_O and you can use then unless you use Asian characters.
