Find contacts (address book)??~!!

hii. i just stumbled upon this site in midst of solution hunting and it is GREAT. really. this site has givin me hope that my problem migh be solved...someday.. i feel close!

but i would like to kno if there is a way i can retrieve my contacts from my phone using P2K Tools?

I put it into AT mode and i see nothing on my screen. no contacts at all. I even changed the config. file value to "PhoneBookType=0" to view my phonebook as a V3re.

still no luck. =[

i also noticed i could not sync my time of my phone with my computer.. migh be related? idk.

does anyone have any clues to help conquer this?


p.s: i couldnt even get Motorola Tools to recognize my phone. siiiigh. !-_-

You have to click "refresh" after you switch to AT Mode. Also, make sure in the bottom left hand corner, there's a little blue icon that says "Connected AT Mode."

Going by the edit of yours, you need to reinstall all drivers. Get it out of the Wiki, our guides, how to connect. But you need to get the right driver set from the download section, under software, and you need to uninstall all unknown usb devices and Modem before reinstall.

thank you but it shows Connected AT Mode with a light blue icon and i even hear the sound of it recognizing my phone.. im guessing it might be some other issue... o.O

alrigh.. so i uninstalled all of the drivers and the modem and downloaded the USB Driver 32 download offerered here at this AMAZING site. haha

Was I supposed to download anything else?

When I went back to P2K Tools it recognized and showed Connected AT Mode but STILL nothing in the screen. Just blank. And I still cant sync time... maybe its related? o.O

Are there any other steps that can be taken? BTW I really appreciate you both lending your expertise. Truly.

The only time I've had this happen to me personally is when my phone is asking for the pin.

Modnmotos had this problem a while back, but he wasn't able to solve it. Have you tried other versions of P2kTools?

Yes. I tried 3.08, the one righ before the latest version. Still no luck. However, I somehow feel confident someone has a solution. Maybe if I ran some other program in the background, would that help?

I never did figure it out. Everything stays on my sim card and that sim has went to three different phones now so hope sim never gets damaged. Could it be the s/w, f/w version? Idk just total guessing here. I mean I know their almost exactly the same but why could you and I never could???? Have you tried to connect in at mode with the one I sold to you?

Idk now had em apart and swapped around so many times I cant remember/keep it straight....

I think it was though. Either way though all mine were the same.( i thought )
