Will Razr V3re sync with Outlook Contact & Calendar?

Okay, don't shoot me if this has been asked before. I'm a complete newbie.

I've been trying to sync my V3re with outlook and can't get it to work. Windows XP says it found a V3re when it detects it, but on the Motorola website, it sure looks like it is a V3a. Under my battery it just says V3. How can I tell for sure?

Motorola Phone Tools says the device is not supported. Mobile Master software does not do it. Mobiledit software did not work. One other software I can't remember did not work.

Before I spend a couple more hours, can the phone sync with outlook contacts & calendar? If it can, please enlighten me.:(

With Motorola Phone Tools, it should.

To find out what phone you have, turn it off. Then hold * and # while turning it on. Tell us what it says.

Holding *# when turning the phone on gives me:
Boot Loader 0C.C1.
SW Version: R3442A_G_0E.43.04R

I still can't tell the model from this. The phone is used on the Cincinnati Bell network, which I think uses AT&T's towers.

Also, based on the SW version, should I change it/upgrade?

You do indeed have a V3re. You can flash any firmware that starts with R3442A, if you want to try another.

Keep in mind CG2 contains all personal data, so flashing a full MP or a flex will wipe it clean.

Installed the drivers needed from this site. Installed Mobile Phone Tools. Phone connected with no problems/errors. MPT's could not sync either the contacts nor the calendar. Gave syncronization failed error (multiple times).

Going to try a different software. Will keep folks posted. Thanks for the help so far.

Okay, MobilEdit did not work either. I'm giving up. Many hours spent - - too many.

Try get update of your MPT. I got the same error. After update, everything works
