Outer LCD not working

New phone, everything works OK but the outer LCD doesnt show anything but a dark gray screen when lit up. How do I make it so when I press the side button it shows the time or if I have a message etc?

was the the outer display working before you flashed the phone??

i had this problem with my v3xxr, turns out it was the skin. something to do with the cli.ski file. if the outer display is not broken, try installing a different skin specifically for the v3re.

Hey :D I havent even flashed it yet actually and its already doing it for some reason
I've tried using the current skins on there but still no go, it all shows up gray outer LCD

If it's doing that with stock firmware, then it's almost certainly a faulty LCD.

yeh, if you bought it new and the outer screen doesnt work..... as long as its not something you did i would definately exchange it for another one.

Tried flashing it with a K1 stock flash and rebooted the phone, flash failed but it came back perfectly fine lol .. go figure, all working now :P thanks guys!
