Plug your V3re into the Computer and open M-Explorer, it will then create a folder here: Motorola tools/M-Explorer/Data/****************(your V3re's IMEI number)

put the patch there.

now close M-Explorer.

BUT! you also have to Right click on the "patch.exe" or whatever its named as, and choose "Run As Administrator", then the annoying security pop up will...er....POP UP! just click "Allow" then the patch window will open. just click on the button that says "Patch" and it SHOULD say "90+ Files Patched" then open M-Explorer again and your V3re's /a/ Drive should be visible!

I have the same problem. It's not generating the data folder. I made that folder myself (the IMEI folder) but when I try to patch it says "filecache File Not Found"

What can I do?

Run M-Explorer as an administrator. That should solve it.
