View Full Version : T-Mobile Pink Razr V3

My wife has the pink v3 and I can not get any software to recognize it. I had mobiledit connect to it once, but after the last update (free trial) nothing....even my v3 that IS detected is somehow stuck in "read-only" mode. Suffice it to say, that app has been deleted. I've tried the generic motorola drivers, p2k drivers ver. 2.8/2.9, p2k commander, p2k tools, skiman, moto dev kit.....nothing likes this pink phone. Are these things modable at all?

Should just be a regular V3. Have you tried this method (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=160)?

Yeah, true. The My Fav's ones are similar to V3r's as well.

The sticker under the bat says v3. Got it about 2 months ago and it doesn't have the My Favs. I've tried it on 2 computers and no luck. Like I said, Mobiledit picked it up once before the last update but now nothing sees it. I'm getting serious flack over this since I have all the ringtones I made plus a bunch of cool skins on my phone. Someone is getting "Pink" with envy:o

No luck with that either. I can't even delete the old drivers (p2k 2.9) since the phone isn't detected.

motorola driver install will remove old driver's and install the new ones properly

Sounds like the r F/W, a few came out as v3r without the my faves stuff on them. The Magenta ones are identical visibly, at least they made the other one gunmetal.
A way I used to "cheat" was I downloaded Motorola SW update, installed it, ran it, closed it after no updates were found but left the phone plugged in and opened up whatever p2k app i wanted to use, Motokit, p2k tools, etc. The Moto update installs the drivers for you, it may work for you too.

Interestingly, I finally got back on my main pc and decided to give it one last shot. Plugged the phone in, p2k Commander popped up...the star turned yellow so I tried to view the contents and voila! It's working now.

Very strange as I haven't changed any drivers, software etc.....but it just works:thumbsup: I'm not complaining, but since computers are my area of ownage, I don't understand why it just "works now". Oh well.....one less thing to worry about, but now I have a list of "to-do" mods that I'm being told I have to do to her phone:eek:
