Replace the openwave browser?

Hello again guys! Well, I finally got everything on my L7C working the way I want it. Looks great thanks to you "modders" . Anyway, so I got to playing with it and I thought of something I have yet to see anything about. Is there any way to install a different browser in place on the openwave browser? I seen a few that look really cool like this one http://www.operamini.com/demo/ Yes I am aware that it is Java and my phone is Brew but I was just wondering, is there a replacement browser? At all?

how gay is that? is there anyway to install java so I can run another browser? I know if I flash to another service provider that may work but, then it would be useless unless i switched networks and to be honest I like cricket. Are there any options at all?

As for the fonts i'm not sure.

If you want to change the startup shutdown animations all you have to do is find a gif that is 176x220

thanx alot! I'll go check that out asap. The fonts I'm thinking could brick my phone. I've all ready did that once and I really don't want to do it again. Is there any way I could find out without trying it out on my phone?

actually u can get the l7c to support java but its hard to get data working on it u have to flash it to bell with a monster or a telus upgrade

but then I wont be able to use it on cricket anymore right? I mean could I flash it to support java then put it back on cricket and keep java? How exactly does this work?

Anything on this? I just got the MetroPCS slvr L7c and want to run java apps, but I obviously do not want to then be locked out of metro pcs... I really just want to be able to install some games, a new browser (I hate openwave) and maybe the gmail app...

I haven't got anything new on it. Believe me I've been waiting. I begining to think it's just not possible yet.

nope its not possible( village idiot know everything there is to know about cdma phones, if it was possible believe me he'd be the 1st to lets us know), i am also stuck with a cricket l7c and the only things i have modded, are the startupshutdown gifs/sounds, deleted all defult skins/ringtones/wallpapers and replaced them with new skins/wallpapers/ringtones, and i also modded the shutter sound(so when i take a pic the phone now actually sounds like a camera).. i done just about all you can do with a l7c, except of course the bootscreen which theres no point in me messing with because i dont know anything about seem editing, im cool with the default bootscreen just got rid of the cricket stuff i can delete without bricking the phone... the modders here help me a lot:thumbsup:
