Stock backup file for R3442A V3re

I'm getting a bit more comfortable with modding my V3re phone. To help others, I have an AT&T stock backup file that I can post somewhere.

Can a moderator create a section in the downloads area for the V3re?

What format is preferred? I was planning on Zipping the 66MB file.

Good work mark, I'm following your threads closely as I have the same model but from Brazil. The only thing I'm waiting for before I start to play with these is to receive the subsidy unlock code from a person on ebay.

Chris - I haven't found anything yet to flash to this phone. It may take a while for people to experiment with the new software rev (without bricking it!).

Thanks, that is great stuff. I will upload and mirror it. Obviously I can't test it so it will go with a warning. But for some that might be the rescue they need. Most start modding without backup and then get into trouble. A stockfile is worth a lot in those circumstances. :thumbsup:

Hey, come on, we all were n00bs once and sometimes stil are, lol. I came here to MMM to unbrand my phone and now, about a year later I have not read all the threads here. To explain it as easy as possible, an unlocked phone can be locked by flashing a locked Monsterpack to it, but a locked phone cannot be unlocked by flashing an unlocked Monsterpack. The Lock sits in the protected area of the software which doesn't get changed but asked while flashing. That is what the Testpoint does, it shortcircuits the protected memory guard.

You can try. Unrar the MP and flash it either with FB3 ,after adding the loader and profile settings explained in the backing up sticky at the Top, or the newest RSD Lite, 4.1. That you would have to google for, won't be easy to find but it is there.:thumbsup:

Language pack 0003 for the r3442A if you would have a different one, you could change the languages with it.
DRMs are the little symbols for battery and reception and so on. You can change those by flashing just the DRM .shx

I used the flash backup 3.06 added the loaders and profiles for W510 and v3re (v3_06) wait to be helping. The backups were made after I unblock him/it for Smart Moto with Smart TP

I'm totally new at this. I messed up my V3re and to save it, flashed the V3re_R3442A_G_0E43.08R.shx file using RSD Lite 4.1. To my amazement, it worked, mostly. The phone seems fine, however, will not get a signal from AT&T. Any ideas why?

Hole. E. Ish Batman, thank you. This is the first phone I've ever had capable of playing with a bit and I feared I had bricked it. One RSD Lite trip and your stock file later, it's a disappointing as new (why I was poking at it in the first place). Thanks a lot, wmwinn and Dumba.

2nd file- and it worked fine but had no signal so then i tried to use this file http://www.4shared.com/file/26826004/c49afafa/R3442A_DRM_original.html?dirPwdVerified=e10830d8

and the phone would just show the boot screen then cut off. So 1ST!!!! what you gone have to do is flash with the 1st file, then 2ND!!!! flash with the second file but when you flash with the second file, only flash the 3rd option(may be second) and it should say flex. once it flash the flex the signal should be recoverd... remeber only flash that part of the flash file. I used Flash&backup 3. Let me know how it work. and since u already have the 1st flash file on your computer you can just skip to step 2

I just checked, the mirror works, its http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=7252 for the file mentioned in this thread. I test downloaded it and it gave no problem. But this thread is about the locked v3re backup MP , you are sure you want this one?

I don't mind it being locked to AT&T. They're the only ones that provide decent coverage in the rural county where I live. They have a tower in the north, south and central parts of the area. Very seldom do I ever run across anyone that has a phone through another carrier although Verizon has one tower and Nextel has two towers here.
For some reason, both my Firefox and my IE browsers have issues with this site. I click on the link and both browsers redirect me back the forum index page so I still can't download it.
It's not an immediate need but I'd like to have a copy of the file in the event I screw something up and need to try to recover from my mistake.

Thanks for reposting the file. I was able to download it this time. There isn't really any reason for me to have an unlocked phone as AT&T is the only GSM provider in my immediate area. However, if you'd also like to post the unlocked version, I'd be happy to keep that backup on hand as well.

I checked back about the one I loaded to Rapidshare there. It says unlocked as well. Its the one you referred to earlier though. Its always good to keep, but do make a backup of your phone while its working. That is a lot more helpful for you, if ever something goes wrong.

Which file are you trying to flash?

Where exactly does this flashing process hang up? Where are the errors?(Phone or Flash Program screen?)
