getting started with modding

I am having some trouble getting started.Very new to all of this tecnacle stuff.Is there a tutorial on how to use p2k?My phone is recognized for just a few seconds in the start up box under the usb tool then they both disapear what next?I cant figure out the p2k but i am a rookie please help?
My phone info is here
Boot loader is09.02.
sw version is R4518_G_08.C8.37R
It is a v365 phone.
could someone take me under there wing.

I installed p2ktools3 and it did give me some files and such.Will this do me any good.I would like to get some skins and get the full rate transfer to full for a better signal.Will this work for me?

follow the guides for the L7, its the one that bears any resemblence to a V365, i've never heard of R4518 though dont flash any of the L7 files though

How do i make a back up with p2ktools3?I do not see a back up file?

Click the phone in the top left corner and select flash mode

It is doing it now but it is slow it is only on the second line cg2.How will i post it here so you can see inside it?
