R3442A V3re. problems all over the place.

ok. does anyone have experience with this phone? do v3r seems work on it? p2k tools seem functions? does anyone know the location of the su/sd animations?
last but not least, motomidman wont work. i made it recognise the phone, but it says it has 0 free space to put games on it. any ideas?

P2KTools VS v3 is working except for the file manager. For file copying/deleting, I've been using M-Explorer.

Anyone no how to remove skins directories on the V3re.
I added new skins then removed them but the directories still remain.

P2k Commander, P2kMan, Motosetup, Motorola Tool, Midway, Motorola Phone Tool
All work well.

Still cannot remove skins directories.
I have tried everythig I can think of. Recreated folders removed them etc.
The skin folders are visible on the V3re but can not be seen with P2k Commander,
, M-explorer the list goes on.....
If I flash stock will that restore skins nd directories to orig? Does my phone have to be unlocked to flash?

no it doesnt have to be unlocked to flash. my advice, reinstall the skins and remove them with skiman.

I'm having a similar issue with skins remaining on the phone's list... but gone from the file directory. Later tonight, I'm going to try this approach:

I tried your method first, but it still left the skin listed on the phone. The skins files and the folder are physically deleted (by a file manager or skiman), but remain listed on the phone.

I forgot to mention: the Skin deletion issue is only a problem for STOCK skins. On my V3re, these are DISCO, GLOW, and ALKALI. {EDIT - I was wrong about it being only stock skins - all skins are affected**

You can delete the skin files themselves, but the phone will always list the stock skins in the listing.

Having the same problem with loading games thru Moto Midlets Manager V0.70. Getting error "No free space. Need 15702 bytes, available: -1 bytes". Looks like the program is looking to install on the c drive and not on a. Is there a way to select a?

Most of this thread is about skins, but here's a tip for games:

I've been using MIDway v2.8 to load JAVA games. Try either Com port 2 or 6. Try giving that app a whirl with your v3re. I'll assume you've already made the SEEM edit to enable JAVA app loader on the phone. Here's more info:

Getting games on my V3re worked as per your post with no problems.

Confirm problem using MotomidMan. I tried adding R3442A to each of the Modes one at a time, results varied. Some of the modes display free memory but do not display Java applications. Made the mistake of executing Restart in Mode 3, all Java applications were deleted and a new folder of (Installed )was created. I tried installing new games in Mode 3 but it did not work. I had copied all original java files using P2k commander. Reinstalled all Java apps, fixed my mistake. Midway 2.8 has worked the best for me too. There is a Flex Tool V. 04.0 might work_ Found at Motomodders.

:confused:need some V3re help.
I ran P2KtoolsVS went into the Menu Editor downloaded menu from phone, then uploaded menu to phone. Under settings/connection on the V3, I had IrDA and Active call icons. I removed them using P2Ktools. If I download from the phone then upload the file IrDA and Active call icons return. Long story short Bluetooth will not connect to another V3re. I think I have to Flash. I downloaded FB3 with V3re patches, but couldn't get it to work. It would connect but not read any info from the phone. I would like to Backup a 2nd, V3re and flash to the buetooth failing phone. I am clueless how to do this without FB3. Any Ideas..... I have a stock MP for V3re but have never flashed before.

do you have the fb3 v3re loaders installed? v3_06 profile selected? if so then go ahead and back up
