GPS in the phones E911 ??

I have not heard anything about built in GPS's in the phones in a long time, are they still doing that and keeping it hidden for the E911 system ?? Just curious, I know they can probably get close by doing a triangulation from towers but if there is only one tower then what?

yep, enabled for the 911 system . . . havent seen a way to utilize it from the phone yet

I remember a while back, and I dont even know which phone it was, I was able to access the GPS with a java program for navigation, It was a NEXTEL Phone but the model eludes me at this time, and I havent used NEXTHELL in a long time. I think it was a seem edit to open up the GPS Functions..
