I couldn't wait anymore and I figured someones got to do it so I decided to try the test point method on my V3re.

I used my dremel tool to open a small door to gain access to the test point and to my surprise it is no there as th GSMserver picture indicates. So I thought why not try the spot just above but did not work.

Once I follow the procedure in 3Vr unlocking tutorial (grounded needle to test point, connect battery and wait a few seconds then click "do selected jobs" in P2k Easy Tools 3.9) I get the message "Connecting to phone ...
ERROR: Could not connect".

Then I tried the exact spot the GSMserver photo shows (even though there is no solder point) and run P2k Easy tools 3.9, I get this message "Connecting to phone ...
Connected to: 'Motorola Flash'
Connected OK
Bootloader version: 0CC1
ERROR: Please make TESTPOINT on phone for this model!"

Any ideas..??

I think the problem is that there isn't a whole lot of folks who have the NEWEST phone out there...

I have seen this happen a few times, don't worry, there will be more and you will have plenty of folks to knock your ideas around to but currently most of us are shooting in the dark.

Since you have two of them you should 'give' one to me for my B-day and then I could see what I could figure out... hehehe

So you mean that even though there is no solder ball, I should be able to scratch through to the hole?

The test point pics is a match if you scracth the green or blue paint of is coper under it.
You need to have a special cable like smart easy test point cable or elese it just don't work , the V3xx samething!!
