No success yet: I tried MIDway v2.8, but it couldn't detect the V3re.
Gotta keep searching..... :whip:

I just uploaded my first JAVA game!!
It involved playing with the COM port settings in MIDway... mine happened to work on COM6.
here's how it works:
with phone disconnected from comp
ON YOUR PHONE press
Menu - Settings - Java settings - Java App Loader
it will say "Insert Cable Now"
plug it in to the computer.
open midway.
open the .jad file
Try to send the .jad file
If a timeout occurs (see image above), try another COM port....
once you hit the correct one, it will start downloading.
File details will display on your phone.
Select DOWNLOAD on your phone.
Done! :)
any questions, just ask!

I found with Midway that the program usually will want to use a different COM port every time you start it up. One time it will use COM6 and the next time it will use COM2 etc.
Your results of course may vary.

I don't have that option on my phone apparently unless and I attached a screen shot of the directory you reffered to. Am I missing something? Is it that it's not installed on my phone so I need to install it myself first?
Also, what does the sybol on the top of my phone screen mean??
Thanks,

In order to see the "Java app loader" option on the phone menu, you need to perform a SEEM edit.
SEEM 0032_001, offset 43 - set bit 0 to a "1"
After restarting the phone, you should see the option at the top of the Java Settings screen. This JAVA app loader must be run from the phone before MIDway can download.
hope this works for you.... Games are fun on the V3re!

The best thing i know to tell you is to get the P2KTools from the M3 downloads section (or click link below).
Once you get it installed, and have it connected to your phone, click on the Hidden Settings button on the left hand side. The click on the KJava in the menu, then click the Get Values button at the top. Make sure the checkbox next to app loader is checked, then click Set values button.
The close P2KTools and go into the Java Settings on your phone. You should have a new menu item called Java App Loader. Unplug the USB cable from your phone, then click on the Java App Loader on your phone. It will tell you to Insert Cable Now, and do that. Then it will tell you that JAL link is active...
Then using MotoMidway (google it) you can upload and install the JAD file to your phone. If the game is a JAR file, then you need to find a program called JADMaker. It will transform the JAR to a JAD.
That's about the easiest way to do it.
