USB Charging Seem editing..no0b alert!

Hi I want to enable usb charging from my PC on my V3r.

Will this allow me to charge from any usb power source i.e. car cigar lighter socket to usb adapter?

I have found the correct seem (I think)

SEEM 004a_0001

And I am meant to do this to enable.

offset 207 (01 charge via computer USB connection, 00 do not charge via computer USB connection)

I have got as far as editting but I am slightly confused as to whether I should be be enabling bit 0 or bit 1.

The guide to seem editting is confusing me, my gut feeling is that I should mark bit 0 so my value for 207 is 01. is this right?

It sounds like you are heading the right direction. If your phone currently has all bits UNCHECKED for offset 207, then it is NOT charging when USB is plugged in. By checking Bit0 and saving the seem to your phone, then restarting... you should see battery charging when plugged into a USB port.

v3r will charge with usb regardless i have not done any edits and my v3r charges on any usb cable

It only charges if this bit is checked. Some stockpacks have it disabled and some MP's do. Make a backup of your seems and try out. You can always load your original backup seems.

Good to hear, Chili - if you want to go another step further, enabling event lights with V3re funlight.pat file will give you a slow blinking bluetooth LED when the phone is charging.
