Hello guys,
I am trying to lock a Motorola V3 with no success. I have a motorola v3 locked for a specific carrier, and I did a full back up with the FB3. After flash a brand new OEM V3 unlocked, the new device stayed unlocked, but it was suppose to be locked to that carrier. Now I have a V3 flashed with the full flash but I don't know hot to lock the phone to that specific provider. I already tried the P2K easy tool entering the respective MCC-MNC from the carrier on the lock area for that specific software but it complete locks the phone to any SIM card, instead to lock to different SIM cards!!
Am I doing something wrong on that whole process?? Is there another piece of application that I can use??
Please, help me if it is possible. Thank you in advance.

That beats me, :(. In normal ways, you have a full backup (make sure you got the full version of FB3 with the flex cg2 included) which is locked, now you flash it to an unlocked phone. Ergo, the unlocked phone becomes locked as well.

Dumba, I am also don't know why I could not backup that phone to have a locked copy on hands. I'm still doing some researches. Do you know any secondary way to do the same???
Tks
did u pay for the full version because if you dont u keep the unlocked flex that your phone has

Yes, If I'm not wrong I sent Random a payment for the full version months ago. I can back the CG2 area normally (at least I have the option to). I really don't understand. Also, I tried to back just the flex area today and I flashed a new V3. Same thing happened. Unlocked!!
Any other ideas??
Tks

Now come on guys. Anybody has the right to mod their phone the way they want. Some of us want to know how things are done. Even locking can be interresting. If you know how to do it, tell us. Modding means adding and deleting things from your phone, not because you need or don't need them, but because you can.

although i DO agree with dumba. everyone has the right to mod their phone however they wish. and we shouldn't beat them up for it. i'm still confused why someone would want to lock one. if you have the mms and wap settings set to the provider who's sim you're using it doesn't really matter if it's locked or not. and with all of the people asking how to UNLOCK their phones i find it confusing that someone would ask the opposite!

I agree 100% with Mike...
ok, everyone's free to do what they want with their phone. But I'm just curious

Motorola Service Tool has the option "Lock To Network"
Moto Rep Studio has it as well
(anyway, I think they are the same program, but different version...)

the easiest way is to find a locked monster pack and make sure it is the carrier that you are looking for then reflash.
