my new paperweight (v3re)

Righto, so i think i've managed to brick my missus' new v3re, using fb3 and more than likely wrong firmware.

I'm just a dumbass cos i think i was a bit confused when i first got it thinkin it was just your run of the mill v3, duur.

Anyway I'm guessing, (now that i've sorted the right profiles for the v3_06 on fb3) the only way to sort it is to reflash with identical s/w, ie. R3442A_G_0E.41.22R that was on it originally? If so, what's the likelehood of me actually getting my hands on that.......

Hmmm tried the link and while it seemed to flash fine using fb3, it's still buggered. Still seems to show original r3442a_g_0e.41.22r when switched on in flash mode. not only that but also has PH SIG ERR: 35:02: now too.

try flashing it again with rsdlite.

Yep, same story with RSD lite, while it appears to have flashed sucessfully, says same thing on the handset and will only start in flash mode....

OK so I bricked my v3re and have tried reflashing.

I get the error message 35:02. By the way, when I turn on the phone, I get "Hellomoto" then it immediately turns off.

OK - I finally was able to revive my phone by reflashing the software.

Now it won't pick up AT&T's network.

Any ideas?

dharmasattva, dig through the posts from the last couple weeks. I read another thread where someone had the same connectivity issues after reflashing their V3re. The solution was to then flash an original copy of the DRM CG. There was a link to this file on some share site. It's worth a shot.

my fiances v3r is a paper weight too. it won't even cut on so rsdlite won't even recognize it. the keys just light up when you try to power it on but it does NOTHING ELSE. my razr finally bricked after 3 years :( i had the v3 (blue cingular model) and it just would not stop hitting keys when I talked on it.. I chunked it off the bridge somewhere :(

I do in fact have an original branded V3re from AT&T. No modifications have been done except the addition and removal of a few skins using skiman which has seemed to leave behind traces of data when I browse the skin section in the phone directory.

Before I make any modifications, I need to make a full backup using FB. I am using a fully registered version of 3.06 with the extra profiles for the v3re added (.prof). I would be happy to make a copy of any data anybody needs as long as it does not require me sharing any of my personal data. Let me know! Any assistance or advice on making a full backup would be greatly appreciated! Check out my other posts for the description of the problem I am having.

Try this link to fix a bricked v3re: http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57126 But be weary I just read this post again and it said something about T-mobile, so don't use the t-mobile Firmware, or it will lock your phone to t-mobile. Just use the AT&T one.
